Health Benefits

Kale - offers a hefty portion of minerals. This is a leaf that is loaded with goodness. In just one cupful you can enjoy well over the adult recommended daily allowance of vitamins A, C and K, giving significant benefits for both brain and eye health.

Rocket - is especially rich in vitamin K and calcium, making it a key ingredient for boosting bone health. High in antioxidants.

Broccoli - is the superhero of the Microgreen world. Teeming with the antioxidant sulforaphane, so much so, that they have 50 times more than their fully-grown adult counterparts. They’re also a fabulous source of dietary fibre and protein, vitamins; A,B,C, E & K, and minerals calcium, iron magnesium, zinc and potassium. Not bad for a Teeny Greeny!

Radish - Deep breath now - purple radish Microgreens contain… vitamins A, B, C, E and K, alongside iron, magnesium and zinc. Then there’s phosphorus, potassium, and plenty of protein (30%). They’re also chock a block with calcium, carotene and chlorophyll, not to mention antioxidants and amino acids.

Red Cabbage - Tiny in size, utterly gargantuan in health and well-being benefits, our red cabbage Microgreens are jam packed with fibre and folate, manganese and magnesium. Then there’s the thiamine, iron, calcium and potassium, not forgetting the riboflavin and vitamin K. For those suffering from disorders such as leaky gut, Coeliac disease, Crohn's disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Ulcerative Colitis, the amino acid L-glutamine in red cabbage has some welcome news – it’s capable of helping to heal the soft tissue that lines your intestines.

Red Mizuna - also referred to as Japanese mustard greens, native to East Asia. Part of the Brassica genus, mizuna is related to other cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, cauliflower, kale, and Brussels sprouts. There are a whopping 16 varieties of Mizuna, we have selected a beautiful red variety to give some contrast amongst our mainly “greeny” Microgreens! You’ll taste a light mustard peppery flavour, fresh and crisp to the taste buds, but is less spicy than rocket. Another nutrient dense Mighty Microgreen, being high antioxidants and several important vitamins — especially A, C, and K. It may bolster eye, bone, and immune health, among other benefits.

A Fun Fact About Gifting

In the 17th century, the Netherlands experienced "Tulip Mania," a speculative bubble centered around tulip bulbs. At the height of this craze, rare tulip bulbs were incredibly valuable and were sometimes used as a form of currency or given as extravagant gifts. This period is often considered one of the first recorded economic bubbles in history.
